To file a witness slip in favor of SB40, please follow the directions below:

•            Go to www.ilga.gov

•            Under “Reports & Inquiry” (third section down on the left), click “GA Dashboard” (shown in red).

•            In farthest left column, click “Senate”, then below that, “Committee Hearings”.

•            Next, click “week”.

•            Committees are listed in date/time order. Find the Insurance Committee (5:00 p.m. on March 4, 2025); click on the icon to the far right of the name (“View Hearing Details”).

•            A list of bills to be heard at that hearing populates. Find SB40. Click on the farthest right icon (pen on paper) under Witness Slips.

•            Fill out the information fields under I.; under II. indicate the name of your organization (Illinois Speech Language Hearing Association); under III. indicate that you are a proponent of the bill; under IV. show the testimony type that you will supply at the hearing, “Record of Appearance Only”.

•            At the bottom left, you must check the box next to “I Agree to the ILGA Terms of Agreement”.

•            At the lower right, click “Create (Slip)”; you may need to select images to verify your identity.

•            Click “I Am Finished”.

•            You should receive an e-mail confirming that your witness slip has been filed successfully.
