Diversity, Equity & Inclusion - Connecting Conversations Series

THIS COURSE IS NOT OFFERED FOR ASHA CEUs

The ISHA DEI Committee is excited to announce the launch of a pilot conversation series for CSD professionals in our state. Open to both ISHA members and non-members, "Connecting Conversations" features facilitated conversations about various topics within DEI that impact us as professionals. Each interactive conversation is hosted by two moderators from ISHA’s DEI Professional Training team, and will focus on a specific topic. Whether you are a social justice veteran, or brand new to the world of diversity, equity, and inclusion and curious to learn more, this is a space for you to learn and connect with colleagues. Come ready to listen, learn, share, and challenge yourself.

The first facilitated conversation in the Connecting Conversations Series took place on Thursday, May 27, 2021. View What is identity and how does it impact our work? below.

Join the Connecting Conversations Team as a small-group facilitator!

ISHA's DEI Connecting Conversations team is looking for small-group facilitators - come join us!  So far, the Connecting Conversation series has explored the topics of bias and identity, and how them impact our work as SLPs and Audiologists.  Through personal reflection, group discussion, and creative activities, participants gain a deeper understanding of how these topics influence the way we relate to others and show up in the world.  Facilitating is not about being an expert, it is about holding the space for yourself and others to be truthful with each other.
