Description: Participants will gain an understanding of the characteristic, possible comorbidities, and history of Selective Mutism (SM). This presentation will also explore the impact of SM on the child in the school setting. Participants will learn about the role the school team plays in the diagnosis and treatment of this disorder. IEPs and 504s for students with SM will also be discussed.
