“In any given moment we have two options: to step forward into growth or to step back into safety.” - Abraham Maslow

Spring, with its blossoming flowers and longer days, is often associated with growth and new beginnings. As we observe the world around us (literally) grow, it is an excellent time to awaken our senses and embrace growth through change.

ISHA is actively working on positive changes to promote excellence across the association to better serve our membership. The executive board recently approved an Interprofessional Education and Collaborative Practice (IPECP) Task Force. The purpose of this Task Force is to establish and maintain inter-organizational relationships with other Illinois professional associations and their members (e.g., IOTA, IPTA) for the purpose of joint advocacy, creation of collaborative content, and enriching association member’s knowledge of IPECP. Thank you to ISHA Member and Fellow, Michelle Zemsky Dineen, for bringing this meaningful and positive step forward to enhance our Interprofessional Practice (IPP) education and collaborative practice. If you are interested in joining this Task Force, please reach out to membership@isha.org or CLICK HERE for more information.

An additional ISHA Task Force has also been introduced and approved by ISHA’s Executive Board. To support the ongoing changes to SLPA legislation, ISHA has created the Assistant Task Force. Are you interested in joining the Task Force or know someone who is? Sign up for the Assistant Task Force hereReach out to membership@isha.org for more information and join our already thriving Task Force today!
