2016 Call for Presentations

For Professionals:  The deadline for submissions for the 2016 Annual ISHA Convention was June 1, 2015.


For Students: The deadline for Student (SIRCA)  15-minute Talk submissions was June 1, 2015. The deadline for Student (SIRCA) Poster submissions is September 1, 2015.


Student Initiated Research & Clinical Application (SIRCA) Proposals (talks or posters) must be submitted by June 1, 2015 in order to be considered for a SIRCA Award. Any proposals received after this date will not be considered.


Entries will be judged by the adequacy of literature review, significance of question/hypothesis, soundness of methodology, clarity of data/results, interpretation of results, and limitations. The award will consist of $300.00 and a certificate for the student researcher(s). The monetary prize will be divided among the award recipients in the event that there are multiple student presenters for the winning project. The award will be presented during the annual business meeting held at Convention. Presentations must be presented in the time slot and format suggested by the Program Committee.


The Illinois Speech-Language-Hearing Association is an ASHA approved CE Provider. It is the policy of the Illinois Speech-Language-Hearing Association to ensure balance, independence, objectivity and scientific rigor in all CE courses. Therefore, in accordance with ASHA mandates, the Illinois Speech-Language-Hearing Association requires that all individuals involved in developing and delivering course content to be offered for ASHA CEUs disclose relevant financial and nonfinancial relationship(s) by completing the Instructional Personnel Relationship Disclosure Form. If potential conflict of interest is identified, the Continuing Education Administrator will contact the presenter to attempt to understand how the relationship may influence the content of the course and decide appropriate actions. Individuals who refuse to complete the disclosure form will not have proposals reviewed. The Instructional Personnel Relationship Disclosure included in Call for Presentations process must be completed and included with all Submissions.
