Join us as a presenter at the 65th ISHA Annual Convention on February 6-7, 2025 in Rosemont, Illinois at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center!

We are seeking submissions for the following Tracks:

  • Voice & Motor Disorders
  • Student Initiated Research & Clinical Application (SIRCA)

Based on attendee feedback from ISHA's previous Annual Convention, we are also seeking submissions for the following trending subjects in addition to our usual Track topics:

  • Ethics
  • Supervision
  • Dementia
  • Swallowing
  • Neurologic Diseases
  • Workload Matrix/Advocacy
  • DEI
  • Implicit Bias
  • Culturally Responsive Care/Teaching

If you are submitting for more than one session you will need to complete the process for each session. After you submit the required information for your first session, simply select the "Home" tab from the top navigation bar and then select "Click here to begin a new abstract." Please remember you must save your session information each time you make updates and you must SUBMIT your session once it is finalized or it will not be considered. You will receive a confirmation email once your submission(s) have been finalized and saved in the portal.

For Professionals:  The deadline for submissions for the 2025 Annual ISHA Convention is July 12, 2024.

For Students: The deadline for Student (SIRCA) 15-minute Talk submissions is September 1, 2024. 

For Students: The deadline for Student (SIRCA) Poster submissions is September 1, 2024.

Student Initiated Research & Clinical Application (SIRCA) Proposals (talks or posters) must be submitted by September 1, 2024 in order to be considered for a SIRCA Award. Any proposals received after this date will not be considered.

Entries will be judged by the adequacy of literature review, significance of question/hypothesis, soundness of methodology, clarity of data/results, interpretation of results, and limitations. The award will consist of $300.00 and a certificate for the student researcher(s). The monetary prize will be divided among the award recipients in the event that there are multiple student presenters for the winning project. The award will be presented during the annual business meeting held at Convention. Presentations must be presented in the time slot and format suggested by the Program Committee.

The Illinois Speech-Language-Hearing Association is an ASHA approved CE Provider. It is the policy of the Illinois Speech-Language-Hearing Association to ensure balance, independence, objectivity and scientific rigor in all CE courses. Therefore, in accordance with ASHA mandates, the Illinois Speech-Language-Hearing Association requires that all individuals involved in developing and delivering course content to be offered for ASHA CEUs disclose relevant financial and nonfinancial relationship(s) by completing the Instructional Personnel Relationship Disclosure Form. If potential conflict of interest is identified, the Continuing Education Administrator will contact the presenter to attempt to understand how the relationship may influence the content of the course and decide appropriate actions. Individuals who refuse to complete the disclosure form will not have proposals reviewed. The Instructional Personnel Relationship Disclosure included in Call for Presentations process must be completed and included with all Submissions.
