Each year, ISHA's Public Information, Membership, and Marketing Committee secures a Governor's Proclamation signifying the month of May as Better Hearing and Speech Month, also known as National Speech-Language-Hearing Month! This proclamation brings awareness to the 46 million Americans who are affected by communicative disorders. It also recognizes the impactful work that speech-language pathologists, audiologists, and assistants do for the individuals they serve.
