Rush University Medical Center Receives a Grant

Rush University Medical Center, in partnership with 35 other organizations state-wide, received a Geriatrics Workforce Enhancement Program (GWEP) grant from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) to support the development of community-specific interprofessional geriatrics education and training programs.  Free, online education with versions for both professional and consumer audiences have been developed. These online modules are being integrated into undergraduate and graduate university curriculum across the country.  Faculty have assigned them as homework, resources, and incorporated them into coursework.  The following modules are available: Normal Aging, Evaluating Memory Concerns, Working in Interprofessional Teams, and Managing Multiple Chronic Conditions.
